“I started Chuco Relic driven by a passion for my city, aiming to offer a means for people to proudly express their love for El Paso. My vision was not just about celebrating local artists' talents but also actively supporting and celebrating our community. Despite initial challenges like limited funds and skepticism about the necessity of a souvenir shop in El Paso, I pushed forward with my vision, determined to make it a reality.
A defining moment for my business was being honored with the Torch Award for Ethics from the Better Business Bureau, a testament to my commitment to the community I adore. I think one of the best ways to grow is to KEEP SHOWING UP. Social media has played a pivotal role, fostering a deeper connection with our supporters, and providing a space for creative collaboration. After coming back to El Paso from living in Ireland and Spain, I realized that there is no place like home, and I wanted everyone to know how awesome El Paso is.
For aspiring entrepreneurs, I advocate breaking down overwhelming tasks into manageable daily steps, like registering your business, creating your website, educating yourself- all these small actions accumulate into significant progress. I am very thankful to my mom and my husband who have been by my side through this journey and continue to support me every step I take.
