“I'm from El Paso born and raised. I grew up on the Northeast side of town, in my opinion, the Northeast is the best side of town. We've got some of the best food, people and the best views of the mountains, which is one of my favorite things about EP. I wouldn't live on any other side. I started my page @elpaso.eats in 2013 originally just for fun. I was already always out and about exploring and trying new spots, so I figured I would document my food adventures through Instagram. I would say the page didn't start growing until about 2 or 3 years ago and it just recently has become a passion project of mine. I definitely would like to do something outside of the Instagram realm, something more tangible by the next year. I'd say being a creator has been a great outlet for me because it's shaped me to be more open-minded about situations that I would have otherwise tried to avoid. Meeting new people, going to meetings, and even eating alone. It has forced me out of my comfort zone and really required me to put myself out there, which I think is healthy for anyone to do. What I want people to take away from my page is a sense of pride in this community. I want people to get excited and love up on El Paso as much as I do. I want them to be curious and stay wanting to explore. I want them to find the beauty in the food, the city, the people-- all of it, and be proud to call it home”-@elpaso.eats
